short and sweet

The daily challenges of being a recently divorced single working mom to a 7 and 4 year old, dieting/excercise struggles, my obsession with the Oakland Athletics, my cheeeeeeseburger addiction and anything else that comes with being a woman these days!

slooooowly but surely

slowly moving my things into my new house. and by slowly, i mean like taking over the new stuff i bought for the house that i've been storing at my old place. hehe. i packed most of our clothes. i can't believe the princess has 4x as many clothes as me. sheesh!!! have almost all my blinds up (only one left). got my badass washer and dryer and fridge delivered. got my very european sectional (in lilac-from scandinavian designs) delivered. i'm doing a contemporary/girly theme. (typical of me. hehe) :) trying to get the main bathroom remodeled. ugh! money, money, money! all i've been doing is spending money! it's so hard to part with, but i have to do it now or else i'll never get what i want and end up bitter because i settled for less. i bought my truck! it's a brand new 2005 dark gray dodge ram v8. i was down to half a tank today and filled it up for the very first time and was shocked at how much i spent for half the tank! (it holds 20 some gallons. 27, i think?) but for that half tank, i spent $30. and i get something like 350-400 miles per tank (isn't that how much a honda civic gets off 15 gallons?!). but i LOVE it! i got a new job. no more winery. industrial, if you can believe it. (well, administrative, but in the industrial field) but it pays more and the best part is, it's only about 5 minutes from home. yay! no more 1+ hour commute to a job site that is 25 miles away. so i'm happy. i get to see grace and steve at the end of the month. woo hoo! i love it when i tell grace i'm going to visit her. she always invites others and makes a party out of it. i asked her if i could have a parade too, but she hasn't got back to me yet on that. but that's ok. as long as there's steve's hot meat and pimp juice, i'll be okay without the parade. aren't you all jealous?! i get to grab AND spank grace's ass and you can't! neener neener neener!!!

holy cow!! it's all change then eh?! new house, new job, new wheels.. very nice!!

yeah, i think the only reason you would leave the winery job was if you were getting paid much better, and were closer to home. damn, hope you still get some discounts though!

really happy for you Jaded, it's all a-changin', and it's all good! :-)
