going well, but not
things are moving along but at the same time, i can't help but feel the way i do. i'm hating life right now. i guess things could be worse... but it's bad enough. i'm waiting to close escrow on my new home. i love it. it's the perfect house. but there were some snags along the way that were discovered that really started to go bad because of something my ex-husband did. and yes, it's costing me. but hey, at least i'm still able to get my house, right?
discovered that i have a "very good friend" that is telling my ex-husband all sorts of stuff and he tries to use it against me at every given opportunity even though my life is none of his business anymore. of course he's just pretty much being spiteful and acknowledges that he's making my life miserable, but now he adds salt to the wound by telling me that it's a really good friend that's doing this. so naturally, here i am, questioning my friendships with the people i love. which really sucks because i'm very selective about my friends. i don't have many for this very reason. sure, i have a few acquaintances, but not a lot that i can really call my friends. the friends i do have, i can trust with my life. or so i thought before yesterday. so until i get this figured out, i won't let myself be put in this situation again by talking to them. it sucks for the innocent ones but hey, i've got to protect myself and think about me now. as for ex-hubby, i thought we could get along or at least be civil for the kids' sake and i was, but seeing as how the other party isn't reciprocating, i've decided to cut off all contact with this man until he either grows up or gets over it.
see what happens when i'm myself? nice and trusting? i eventually get burned. bad.

Sorry to hear about this...but you still have a new house!! Sounds like he's just trying to play you. Hope you figure out who it is. No contact with the man sounds like a good way to go for now. Good luck!
ouch, that truly sucks. i feel for you. it's the worst when someone you trust betrays you like that.
it would be easy to say, don't let one bad apple ruin the bunch. then again i'm not too trusting of people either. it's hard to let your guard down sometimes.
i know you really like that house so it's good that you're still able to get it.
damn that sounds terrible. a long time back my folks taught me to try to not rely on anyone, even if it's the significant other. i haven't always succeeded, but it was good advice.
all the best, here's good wishes coming your way! :-)
totally off topic, but...
Scarface is a classic. you must see it.
I hope things work out for you....And whoever it is talking shit...let's kick some ass!!!
Being nice and trusting isn't a bad thing. It's bad that someone else turns it around and uses it against you, but that's not YOUR fault, it's theirs.
Yes, you should protect yourself, but don't lose yourself. I'm sorry you're hurting.
is there ass-kicking involved? count me in!
