blog mini-vacation
hope y'all have a good rest of the week and weekend! behave yourselves while i'm in vegas. of course, this means no HNT from me this week, but hopefully i'll have a good one for next week from vegas. hehe...
oh my god. look at what i found on the internet. i can't believe i actually remembered one of the sites of the 3 photographers that took our pictures. as you can tell, we were fucked up at this point and saturated with sweat from nonstop dancing. good shit!
i know it's an ugly pic, but... look at how much fun we're having!
i did a couple of things this weekend that i can cross off my to do list.
got really, really, really, really shit faced. my girlfriends had to carry me out. i had a hangover the next day.
oh yeah, and i actually threw up! ok.. so i did it. experienced it. no more. i'm never drinking that much again. i guess people were buying me birthday shots and i was telling them it was my 21st birthday. hehe. it must've been pretty dark in da club because they actually believed me! but then again, they must just be retarded because they thought my friend (who is 4 years younger than me and salvadorian [and i'm korean]) was my older sister... hehe...
and no, it's not for a cheeseburger... well, that's always the case, so it doesn't count. but i don't eat sugar and have never been into sweets (i.e. candy, donuts, cookies, etc.) but goddamnit, i want a piece of chocolate cake!!!!
i've been seeing packs of bikes on the highway and i can only assume they're headed to reno for the street vibrations event. *sigh* how i wish i can just jump on the back of someone's harley and go with them...
well, at least it's friday and the employee wine store is open... yay!!! they're having tastings for chateau st. jean's chardonnay and pinot noir. i love to work at a place that encourages on the job drinking... the sales of the day include stag's leap viognier for $8 a bottle! and even though i don't like beringer white zin, it's only $10 for an entire case... (they sell 6 at costco for $19, which is supposed to be cheaper than the stores). heading there now....
hope you all have a good weekend! i'm going to check out my old boss' new club in sacramento. it's supposedly the new hot spot, with a NY/south beach flair. great guy... he's always hooking up his favorite bartender (yes, that would be me!) ;P no cover charge and free drinks can become a dangerous combo!
since this was my third time piercing my tongue, it took one day to heal (went through the same scar tissue). i was eating chicken that same night and a cheeseburger the next day!
aw, you guys are the best! i don't really recognize my birfday because it's just another day in the week for me, but you guys are so sweet. so thank you all for the well wishes, the e-mails, the phone calls, and the e-cards. (but why do ALL of the e-cards involve a cartoon of a naked girl?! what y'all trying to say? hehe...) thanks for wishing me a happy 23rd birthday :) alright, alright.... 28th...
for some reason, i started thinking about the movie "white chicks" and i can't stop laughing (i LOVE that movie). i think it's because vanessa carlton is on the radio right now.... hehehe... do you remember the part where the guy in the club is on e and he's dancing with his shirt off and blowing his whistle? that's one of the best parts. totally funny as shit because it brings back memories of the raves in oakland (about 10 years ago) ... ha ha... good times. and shawn wayans is H-O-T!!!!
.. i can almost taste it the thought of it gets me excited... the anticipation... the nervousness... our first time in a long time after a dry spell...
oh please god, please let the Oakland A's win the AL West Championships this season and make it to the playoffs.
had to change the template. the sidebar was driving me fucking crazy! the links would disappear and i'd have to roll over them to make them come back. it sucked. and this was the only other pink one.
~ i moved departments at work, and i love, love, love my new job! (i'm sorta... i guess cross-training?... into an analyst position for the national sales management team.) it's so challenging (for now-no experience/background in data analysis).
~ don't know what to do for the kids' birthday party. usually we combine their birthday parties (one month apart) and have it at the house, but under the circumstances, i don't think i'll be doing that. i don't like to do outside places because they usually limit it to 15 kids or so, and we always have at least 40 kids, not to mention the adults, too. and i can't do outdoors like the park since its usually in November... what to do... what to do...
~started singing "blister in the sun" the other day, thinking about how it's been near ten years since i've heard anything by the violent femmes. And then yesterday, i freaking hear it on the radio! i must be psychic!!! i think i used my powers to have them air that song! ;P
~drove by a construction area and passed the cute guy waving traffic through and he tipped his hard hat at me. hehe..
~don't know what to fucking wear for 2 weddings coming up. i have absolutely no idea. i've never been to a fall wedding, so it's hard to know what's appropriate. i've always gone to summer weddings (june, july, august... the more popular months) which is super easy to dress for. these are the times i wish i were a guy. all they have to do is pick one of the 2 or 3 suits they own. hehe...
~i haven't worked out in about 3 weeks. so i went from 5-6 days a week, to 3, to nothing. and i haven't been sticking to my diet. AAHHH! my secret is that it is soooo hard for me to lose weight but once it does, it stays off and i can go back to eating crap (as long as i don't get pregnant again. for some reason, that makes me fat..hehe). so instead of gaining weight from lack of excercise/diet, i've lost another 4 lbs, which now brings me down to 119. even my size 4 slacks are loose now. i know my body's been living off my muscles, since i only eat about once a day. (i know, i know... its a terrible habit... i can't help it!) i'll skip breakfast (no time, rushing), eat lunch, get hungry again by 4 pm and by the time i get home, i get caught up in other stuff like the kids, house, whatevers, and i forget to eat dinner. then around 10 pm, i'll realize, hey! i didn't have any dinner! oh well....
~my neck/shoulder hurts so bad i'm about to cry! i can't take it anymore. i'm going to have to leave work early and see my (very hot) chiroprator...
stbx was discharged from the hospital today. this is what the incision looks like. while they were in there, they removed his appendix as well. i guess it's pretty useless and might as well take it out while you have access to it. anyhow, it's about 5 inches long and if you can see the black line under the tape, those are the sutures. i get a weird feeling in my stomach everytime i see it, but then again, that's why i can't stand surgery shows. they give me the heebie jeebies!
My birfday is coming up next week. I'll be 28. That got me thinking... I became a wife and mother at a very young age. 20 and 21, respectively. While other girls were in sororities, living the college dorm life and partying until they threw up, I was at home, working full time, taking care of a husband and raising a baby. So now that I'll be 28, I realize that there are a lot of things I didn't get to do that I want to try to do before I turn 30 (and mind you, these are not "typical" goals that I'm setting for the rest of my life, just the fun things I missed out on from approximately ages 20-25ish). And I know some of these things will sound pretty pitiful to have never done in my life, but hey, sometimes that's the way life rolls.
Get a motorcycle: check Go on a 3 day drinking binge: check
ok, so that's a start.
things I still want to do:
~Go out for a night on the town in a limo (never been in a limo-told you some of these would be pitiful) ~Go to a strip club and get a lap dance (yes, by a chick). i dunno, it just seems like every girl my age has gotten one but me. so i just want to check out what the hoopla is and i'm usually willing to try ALMOST anything at least once (some restrictions apply). and yes, while i can appreciate an attractive female, i'm not attracted to them. so you can squash your dirty thoughts that you're having right now about 2 girl action cuz i assure you it ain't gonna happen.. :) <-- besides, i don't know if i'm even going to do it. but you know... i AM going to vegas in a couple of weeks... hmmmmm...
~Attend a professional basketball game
~Attend a professional football game
~Visit NYC
~Try wakeboarding- since I have small kids, we've only bought a tube for the boat.
~Learn how to surf
~go on a cruise
~ask a guy at a club to buy me a drink. sometimes i'll let them if they offer, but not very often... i feel bad, like i'm using them... but my friends are so good at it, i'll have to pick up some pointers for that one! i think i'm probably one of the few females that ends up paying her own tab at the end of the night... how sad!(i don't like feeling like i'm obligated to sit there and talk to the guy if i accept, which is what i end up doing because i don't want to take advantage of them that way. sheesh! call me old fashioned) ~get so shit faced at a club/party that my friends will have to carry me out.
~get so shit faced that i actually get a hangover the next morning. an entire bottle of vodka should do it. i think.
(as you've probably guessed, i can count the number of times i've been to a club or party in the last 10 years on one hand... and still have room for more)
and that's all i can think of... any ideas? i have lived a pretty sheltered life, so there's a lot of stuff i haven't done yet... i don't even know what's out there in the real world *gasp*.
it happened this morning after dropping the kids off at daycare and on my way to work. was going to do the traditional getting out of the car and circling it, but then decided against it when i thought about how seeing a grown woman on the side of the road in slacks and heels running around her car would look pretty idiotic. so i took a pic instead. my car will be 5 years old in December.
last week, the STBX had bloating and gas, run of the mill abdominal pains. he thought it might've been the vietnamese he had for lunch on thur. but no one else was sick. then he thought it was indigestion. problem was getting worse, so i dropped the kids off with my friend to spend the night and took him to the ER (it got pretty bad by then). he ended up having to have emergency surgery at 3 a.m. but he is okay now and will be in the hospital for the next week or so. (his problem ended up not having to do anything with the food at all). the operation took longer than expected and i didn't hear anything until more than an hour and a half after it should've been finished, so i thought he was dead! i was really scared he was dead because they were almost 2 hours behind schedule. just thinking of my children being fatherless was all i could think about. but i didn't leave his side the entire time. before he went in for surgery, he FINALLY told me something i've been wanting to hear during our entire marriage. "you're such a great person with a good heart. i appreciate it". It's just too bad it's too late, but still nice to hear.
and i'm not going to get into details about the surgery or anything, i'm going to keep that to myself.
my daughter is a late bloomer. she is the smallest kid in class. she's going to be 7 in a couple of months. she hasn't lost any of her baby teeth and they're still super strong. until a couple of days ago! 3 weeks ago, we discovered that her permanent tooth on the bottom started cutting through, and her baby teeth were still holding on for dear life. so we went to the dentist to see what we could do without having to get it extracted. the dentist gave it a hard wiggle and told jade to work on it for a month. if it doesn't fall out by then, they'll have to take it out. so jade's been working on it and it finally came out! yay! now i've got to get me one of them first tooth keepsake boxes...
she's so cute. normally she has a really hard time waking up in the morning, but the morning after she put her tooth under her pillow, she was already wide awake when i went into her room to get her up. as soon as she saw me, she waved her $5 bill in the air and had the biggest toothy grin.. hehe..
aw, and then the little cutie put it in her piggy bank instead of asking to spend it. bless her frugal little heart...
so here's an old pic of the three of us... this is about 2 hours after giving birth to my son (this qualifies since i'm butt nekkid under the robe with only mesh underwear, right? hehehe)
To me, this is not a 'wedding' song, but instead, a love song to my children when they were born, that described exactly how I felt about them. No other song could have expressed it better.
From this moment life has begun From this moment you are the one Right beside you is where I belong From this moment on From this moment I have been blessed I live only for your happiness And for your love I'd give my last breath From this moment on I give my hand to you with all my heart Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start You and I will never be apart My dreams came true because of you From this moment as long as I live I will love you, I promise you this There is nothing I wouldn't give From this moment on You're the reason I believe in love And you're the answer to my prayers from up above All we need is just the two of us My dreams came true because of you From this moment as long as I live I will love you, I promise you this From this moment on
so call your mom and tell her you love her. this is how she felt the day you were born.
ok, ok... i'm sorry. i know y'all are tired of looking at my breasteses. i had so much fun this weekend! as soon as i got down to calabasas (near malibu) on friday, my girlfriend treated me to a swedish massage at a very posh spa. it felt soooo good! i think i may have had an orgasm right there on the table, but i'm not sure. i was just hoping that i wasn't so relaxed that i accidentally fart or something. then as soon as we got back to her place, we started drinking, and i basically drank non stop from friday until sunday night, and i didn't sleep on saturday. we were hanging out in hermosa beach all night long. then on sunday, i drove down to grace/steve's house. i looooove me some grace! le was there, too. she's pretty freaky when she's drunk. ;P she almost gave me a lap dance! but that was before grace grabbed mel's and my boobies (yeah... she was on a fondling/groping roll!) and after i spanked grace's ass. and grace is the hostess with the mostest. she saved a cheeeeeeeeseburger for me.... she made everyone else wait for steve to grill more, but she knows about me and cheeseburgers(love ya grace!). speaking of steve, his pimp juice is the yummiest! I used to be a bartender, but that boy puts me to shame! *sigh* good times...
grace, steve, le, leb, jeanette, tony, mel, and honey are the coolest! i'm so glad i got a chance to meet them all...
ok... time to recuperate.... i'm going to bed
oh my god, how cute is she?! did you see her tank top? i want to have, like, 10,000 of her babies!
me and my bestest friend in the whole wide world of 15 years, getting ready to leave for hermosa beach. isn't she hot stuff? one thing we'll never outgrow... we still sleep in the same bed together ;)
