the tooth fairy FINALLY arrived

my daughter is a late bloomer. she is the smallest kid in class. she's going to be 7 in a couple of months. she hasn't lost any of her baby teeth and they're still super strong. until a couple of days ago! 3 weeks ago, we discovered that her permanent tooth on the bottom started cutting through, and her baby teeth were still holding on for dear life. so we went to the dentist to see what we could do without having to get it extracted. the dentist gave it a hard wiggle and told jade to work on it for a month. if it doesn't fall out by then, they'll have to take it out. so jade's been working on it and it finally came out! yay! now i've got to get me one of them first tooth keepsake boxes...

she's so cute. normally she has a really hard time waking up in the morning, but the morning after she put her tooth under her pillow, she was already wide awake when i went into her room to get her up. as soon as she saw me, she waved her $5 bill in the air and had the biggest toothy grin.. hehe..

aw, and then the little cutie put it in her piggy bank instead of asking to spend it. bless her frugal little heart...
